This wonderful and strange flower is a sub-species of Lily. To be more precise, it is a Lilium henryi - sometimes called Tiger Lily or Henry's lily. It is a native lily of montane central China. The flowers are orange, spotted black, and unscented. The petals are recurving, and eventually become Turk's-caps, it raised prominent “starfish-like” papillae. It is a fascinating flower, don't you think ? This summer was the very first time I saw it. I found it in the Parc Floral de Paris (France)
